Informational page about
Baptist Missions to Forgotten Peoples, Inc.
Purposes and Practices
This Corporation shall remain a Mission Board specializing in reaching the Forgotten and/or Pocket Peoples of the world. In order to reach these peoples, the work will often be innovative in its approach and practices. This Mission Board will entertain applications from any prospective missionary who desires to reach any of the Forgotten and/or Pocket Peoples of the world as described in our preamble. This dedication to innovation does not preclude the Biblical ministry of church planting. This Board is totally committed to the planting of indigenous churches around the world. All churches planted by BMFP missionaries will be independent from their inception. BMFP will not hold leases, deeds, or titles to local church properties.
Missionary Recruiting
No missionary will be accepted unless recommended by a local church which is in agreement with our doctrinal position. Although much recruiting may take place on college campuses and in other places, the local church is still the sending agency and will be the primary source of missionaries.
Local Church Relations
Every missionary serving under BMFP must be a member of a local Baptistic CHurch in the community in which he lives. If there is no acceptable church present, his ministry must result in the planting of a local Baptist church. Every special and/or innovative ministry must be related to a local Baptistic Church.
Closing Statement
